My education and professional background has provided me extensive experience in the field of Athletic Counseling and Sport Management. I have consistently worked with several student-athletes over the past 6 years in the areas of performance enhancement and mental conditioning. I have was as an applied mental-strength conditioning coach work with Olympic Development Program and Soccer Plus Academies. I assisted student-athletes by facilitating educational workshops and team development programs, and was closely involved in designing the programs that produced successful outcomes.
Additionally, I privately worked one on one with junior and varsity athletes and PLAY IT SMART programs, which provided me with great insight to the organization of youth development programs. As an Athletic Counselor for Springfield College athletic teams I have gained in-depth training and experience in working with and counseling both male and female student-athletes.
I am competently trained to work with a number of age groups and special populations. Student counseling, making referrals to University resources, academic advising and resolving other complex student issues, plan and deliver special events, seminars and work shops for various athletic teams. My involvement as Counselor/Sports Instructor at the renowned Camp Winaukee, the nation’s largest and oldest sports camps located in New Hampshire. I had the responsibility to organize a complex imaginative soccer program that ran from 9 am to 7 pm, seven days a week for seven consecutive weeks. It also gave me extensive experience in coordinating and scheduling athletics facilities usage, lesson plans, videotaping and analysis, and catered to both strong and beginning players.
The summer program has more than 250 boys and a supervising staff of over 10 counselors. This time has provided me with the opportunity to professionally interact with campers, staff, director, parents and outside groups.
