Everybody in Biondi Elementary wanted to be in or come visit my class. There was always laughter, music, and fun in my classroom. For the past six years I have worked in a private Special Education School. Most of the students there were at least two grade levels or more behind in Reading and Math. Some of these students had already given up on ever being successful in school. All they needed was someone to believe in them and take time to find out what alternative methods could be to use to help them become successful in school. In a class of 25-30 students and one teacher it is hard for a struggling student to get that individual attention needed sometimes. I have found that most students respond to music and games. I use a lot of bingo and Jeopardy type games to help tutor subject matter. Music and poetry are also is great methods when tutoring writing. No matter what method I use my students are having fun, want to learn, and will learn and succeed.
I am Professionally Certified in Students with Disabilities and Childhood Education (Grades 1-6).
