Do you have a student who is behind in class?
Is help needed with elementary, middle or high school math (including algebra I, algebra II and geometry)?
Is test prep needed for tests such as standardized grade-level advancement tests, Regents, SATs or the GED?
Do you have a student whose progress in reading is slower than expected or uneven with unexpected weaknesses, such as reading comprehension?
Does your child have difficulty with spelling?
Do you have a student who has difficulties with writing such as generating or getting ideas onto paper, organizing writing and grammatical problems?
Do you have a student whose life you would like to enrich with piano lessons?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, I can help. I have four years experience tutoring and giving piano lessons in both the New York City Public School system and privately as well as a degree in Education from Indiana University. Whether a student needs to learn addition or upper level algebra, basic reading skills or SAT level English, I can help. I will methodically and patiently work step by step to make the material easy. I instruct students ranging from pre-K to adult.
I offer the following:
A multisensory approach to learning.
Specialized program for students with learning differences.
Tutoring for home-schooled individuals.
Enrichment instruction for parents who feel that average is just not enough.
In addition to tutoring, I also give piano lessons and can help students understand music theory. Whether the student is a beginner or advanced, six years old or seventy-six years old, I can help the student reach his or her musical goals. I studied piano at Indiana University with Luba Edlina Dubinsky, member of the Borodin Trio and have worked with students of all ages and ability levels.
Convenient day, after-school, evening and weekend appointments are available.
I look forward to hearing from you and I wish the very best for you in your studies!
