I was desperately trying to find the right math tutor for my daughter and I did. Chris is prompt, patient, and dedicated when tutoring my daughter in math. He goes above and beyond with tutoring her. My daughter says that he simplifies the math and makes it easier and fun. She looks forward to her sessions and to learning new things with Chris. I have already begun to see improvements. Chris gave her back the self-confidence that she had once lost with math. Thanks to him my daughter is friends with math again.
Chris is very personable and able to relate to my child. He is prepared with additional examples for my child to practice, if she has no current work. My child has found Chris to be very helpful in her understanding of the subject matter (in our case, high school math). He responds quickly to my emails and texts and is very timely. My child went through a few tutors before we found the right "fit" with Chris. I would highly recommend Chris.
Chris has a very calming, patient way with my son. He knew exactly what he needed to do to reel him in and engage him. He is very respectful and responds back quickly.
Christopher tutored my son in Trig. Very good at explaining, his test score was highest this year. Easy to reach. Very good experience.
My son thoroughly enjoys his time with Chris and he is really getting the right help for his upcoming ASVAB. Looking forward to post his scores because of Chris's tutoring.
Parent Panic!! It's Sunday and my son has a test on Tuesday. He asks for help on his math review sheets. I knew 1 or 2 of them and had some idea about the others. He had a tournament that went over time and he wasn't able to get back in time to meet with Christopher. I asked Christopher to teach me so I could relay the info. By the end of the session I knew it all and was confident I would be able to teach it to my son. When he got in we went over the entire review sheet. He caught on right away and is very confident about his test. I look forward to working with Christopher to help my son pass his exams. Very patient and detailed!
Our experience with Chris has been pleasant and productive. He is a very good listener, punctual and polite. I was amazed when I saw immediate results in one hour, and my son's happy face after his first private lesson. He really enjoyed to meet him. We definitely looking forward to continuing work with Christopher C.
I was very impressed with Chris and more importantly my son enjoyed working with him. He showed up on time and got right down to business - which is helping my son. Chris worked with my son who is an Algebra 1 student on his polynomials homework assignment. After working with Chris my son had a much clearer understanding of the subject matter and gained more confidence. Chris was very patient and knew the subject matter very well. If my son struggles again with a particular topic in Algebra, I plan to have Chris come again. I highly recommend Chris as a tutor.
Christopher is an excellent tutor. As a parent you will be completely satisfied. He simplifies complex math equations so that the student understands the underlying concepts. He is patient, very professional and very dedicated in helping his students. Christopher's technique is working for my son. Christopher is the best tutor my son has ever had.
After my first session I had a way better understanding of math. Christopher made math seem like a walk in the park!
Christopher C. is a very good tutor. He is not only patient but intelligent and tries to find a way of teaching that is effective to my daughter.
I would highly recommend him.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took the exam for the ASVAB and scored a 91 on the test when I took an interest in joining the Navy, with a 100% in the Mathematical Knowledge, Arithmetic Reasoning, and General Science sections. I have tutored three students from this website, all of which have passed the exam. I am also currently attending Queens College pursing a Bachelors in Mathematics which automatically enables me to take high level Math courses as well as Applied Science courses (which covered my ability to know Aviation Information, and Instrument Comprehension). I have also read and studied three different books in order to tutoring students who are interested in joining the Air Force,
This topic is one of my favorite in which to tutor children.
I have studied this subject VERY thoroughly and tutored multiple students in High School within the last three years
I am currently attending Queens College to become a teacher in both Early Childhood and Secondary Education. I have spend a good deal of time working with the K-5 curriculum. The majority of my daytime jobs deals with this grade level as well as intermediate school grades. I have worked with hundreds of students alongside teachers as an assistant in this field. I am confident that I can teach this subject with my background and education.
For the last five years, I have been an avid gym member, and fitness adviser. I am certified as a lifeguard and in CPR/AED, and currently taking a ten week course to become a certified fitness trainer. I have also taken classes in biology, chemistry, and human anatomy, as well as read over 10 books inside and out.
In the past seven years that I have been tutoring, three of those years took place in an Elementary School where I focused all my attention on students from grades K-5. I also spent three additional hours every day working alongside a certified teacher in helping students complete homework and relearn lessons taught that day. I am also pursing a Bachelor's at Queens College for Early Childhood education as well as Secondary Education. I am positive that I can achieve success in helping students excel in this subject.
I guarantee I can help any student achieve maximum success in this topic.
I have taken every Regents exam available when I attended High School and graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma. I am very proficient with the Algebra 1 and 2 Regents, as well as Physics, Living Environment, and Chemistry Regents.
I have been tutoring for several years and gained hundreds of hours of experience with helping students so succeed academically. Of course, this is only possible with practice and beneficial study skills that I throw onto my students. I feel I am confident in this field.
