####
Algebra 2

I have taught this course at the college and community college levels. In addition, I have successfully tutored high school students preparing for the Algebra 2/Trig New York State Regents exam, a number of which scored in the 90's. As a retired college Mathematics professor, I am knowledgeable in all of the topics normally seen in this course.

####
Calculus

I have taught Calculus at the college level and have tutored the subject to both college and high school students. I am familiar with the computational aspects of Differential and Integral Calculus including rules for differentiation, methods of integration, and applications such as related rates, optimization problems, area and volume. I am proficient with the theoretical aspects of Calculus including limits, continuous and differentiable functions, the Mean Value Theorem, the Fundamental Theorem...

####
Precalculus

I am knowledgeable in all topics that are covered in a typical Precalculus course including: functions and graphs, polynomials and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, Trigonometry, trigonometric identities, trigonometric equations, applications of Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, systems of equations and inequalities, sequences and series, and limits.

####
Trigonometry

I have taught Trigonometry at the college level and also have experience in tutoring the course at the high school level. I am knowledgeable with right triangle trigonometry as well as with the definitions of the circular functions.

I understand how to prove trig identities, solve application problems involving the Law of Sines or Law of Cosines, solve trig equations, and graph trig functions.

####
Linear Algebra

I have taught and tutored Linear Algebra. I am familiar with the following topics: solving systems of linear equations by matrix methods, diagonalization of matrices, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, basis of a vector space, linear dependence and independence, inverse matrix, determinants, and the Gram Schmidt orthogonalization process.

####
Regents

I am currently certified in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Geometry. The New York State Regents exams in these subject areas are basically final exams in these subjects. Consequently, certification in the subjects listed above is essentially equivalent to certification in Regents exam prep for the courses that I have listed.
