Dear Students and Parents,
I am a current College Student. My major is Education with a concentration in History and Political Science. I am a senior that has taken close to 120 credit hours. A majority of my credit hours have been devoted to multiple areas of history including European, American, African, Asian and Hispanic. I have volunteered with multiple after-school programs where I was a tutor and a mentor for middle school and high school students. I really enjoyed my time with these programs and I feel like I can make tutoring fun instead of boring and help your student study for important exams like Regents. I am working on my bachelors and am not currently certified but I am taking my tests so that I can get certified by the summer. I have spent 20 hours in a classroom teaching and observing so I am familiar with multiple approaches of teaching and differentiated learning styles. I am a current substitute teaching assistant therefore I am used to working one on one with a student just like a tutor would do. I hope that I can help your student with what they are struggling with or need more practice in and assist in developing helpful study skills for the future.
