I hold a BS and PhD, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in chemical engineering. At RPI, I developed expertise in mathematical modeling, process design and optimization, and renewable energy, while doing doing research on clean hydrogen production. I currently enjoy sharing my knowledge by serving as an adjunct professor at a community college and by tutoring students in math and science. Courses I have taught include Algebra I, Algebra II with Trigonometry, Physics I, Physics II, Introduction to Wind Power Technology, and Introduction to Solar Power Technology. With a bachelors degree and doctorate in engineering, I am well versed in mathematics, from pre-algebra through calculus and differential equations. I enjoy helping others understand mathematics and I have experience in successfully tutoring students in Algebra (both college and Regents), Calculus I, and Calculus II.
