When I was in high school, I was a tutor to kids in middle school and I did some work for a elementary teacher. I have learned that in order for students to be productive, you have to make the lesson fun and entertaining but also remind them that they have to apply what they are learning. By showing the students that learning can be fun as well productive, I have learned that the information that they are obtaining can help them on test and quizzes. By thinking of creative ways to tutor students, it keeps their attention more on the work and not on what's going on around them.
I am going to school for Computer Science. There is an extracurricular program that you can tutor other students so I will be joining that in August. I do not have a degree in teaching, but I still have 3 plus years of experience in helping kids with homework and everyday problems. I hope that I can bring the same experience and ambition to your kids that I have brought to the ones at school.
