I served as musical director of a nationally recognized and award-winning a cappella group, leading hundreds of performances and developing an educational program for elementary, middle, and high school workshops and residencies around the country. In addition, I have coached high school and college vocalists in award-winning cappella recording projects for the last 7 years.
I have performed as a vocalist and instrumentalist at venues all around the country, including venues in NYC such as Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Space, and the Highline Ballroom.
I am passionate about teaching, patient, attentive, and adaptable to a student's individual goals, strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. There is no one method of teaching concepts and skills that will work for every student, so the approach must be customized. I love finding fun ways to work on a topic or skill, infecting a student with my love of the subject, and seeing a student feel empowered by noticing great improvement in themselves. I believe every student can play to their strengths and overcome their difficulties to succeed.
I look forward to speaking with you and setting our up first lesson!
