I have been teaching at after school programs throughout the city for the last twelve years. Though I have mostly taught visual arts, my classes have included history, creative writing and using sequential art as a literacy proponent.

My classes have always been structured so that I am able to give each student one on one instruction. This helps me to approach each student as an individual, so I can understand their strengths and weaknesses to be as effective a teacher as I can.

In addition to teaching I am also a freelance graphic artist and Illustrator. My skills in this field has always helped my teaching be more creative and given me the ability to improvise and innovate when necessary. It is this combination of experience and skills that help me bring something unique to the job. I am interested in teaching beyond what I have done in the past because only by taking on new challenges will I be able to become a more skillful educator. Thank you for your time and consideration.
