I am a recent graduate of Montclair State University's Master's program currently working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. I am looking for NYC students for the weekdays and NJ students for weekends.
My previous experience includes:
Public and private tutoring, public and private school teaching, prestigious fellowship teaching math and science in middle school classrooms.
The subjects I can tutor are as follows:
ALL K-12 mathematics courses including AP courses.
College level mathematics including: statistics, pre-calc, algebra, geometry, business calculus, calculus I, II, & III, linear algebra, etc. (This list does not include finance courses.)
What makes me different from other tutors:
I have a unique approach in which I value my students as individual people.
My philosophy is that no two students learn math exactly the same way, and it is my job to determine how a student learns and how to utilize this process and make a student more efficient.
I value the importance of WHY and not just HOW. Mathematics is a much easier subject when you know WHY you are doing something rather than simply memorizing the HOW to do it. If necessary, individualized homework assignments will be given to students. Some students need more repetition than others and I can provide that!
I take a fun loving and energetic approach to tutoring. If I am not excited about mathematics, my students will not be either.
