Wilson Reading/English Language Arts Master Teacher

I am a Master Teacher with several years of experience teaching Learning Disabled students in the NYC Public School System. I have worked with students of all levels and created differentiated lesson plans and IEPs to meet each student's individual needs. I understand that not all children learn the same way and that every student has gifts and talents that need to be discovered and allowed to grow.

I am trained in the Wilson Reading program and Schools Attuned. These programs offer students the ability to learn reading and writing in a way that builds on their strengths and compensates for their weaknesses.

I believe all students can learn given the right instructional opportunities, patience, understanding, compassion and dedication.

I am certified in Wilson Reading - a phonics/reading program. I also have seven years teaching English Language Arts to Kindergarten through 8th Grade students.

Study Skills

I taught test taking and study skills to students in grades 3 through college. I also tutor college students in English and test-prep.

Special Needs

I have a Bachelors and Master's of Science in Special Education. I am a licensed and certified special education teacher.

ADD/ADHD

I am a NYC/NYS Certified and Licensed Special Education Teacher. I taught LD, ED, ADD/ADHD,etc. students in my seven years teaching in Brooklyn. I have a BS and MS in Special Education.
