Did you know that Autodesk has come out with a version of AutoCAD for the Mac OS? Well if you just love your Mac Powerbook and the thought of putting something like Boot Camp with Parallels Desktop 7 on your Mac just so you can run Windows Apps like AutoCAD 2012 just doesn't sit right, don't fret.
Autodesk has developed AutoCAD for the Mac so that you don't have to do anything except buy AutoCAD for the Mac, install and run it. Instead of tweaking the program so it will run on the Mac OS, the developers at Autodesk built this version from the ground up. I am currently tutoring someone in AutoCAD who has the Mac (Student) version and to a Windows user, you may feel like you're in an alien environment but it does 98% of what the Windows version will do and it's only bound to get better.
If you'd like to know more about this revolutionary software, I have included a link to the Autodesk Website where you can learn more. Just click on:

I would have to imagine that the demand for this version of AutoCAD was so high that Autodesk didn't have any choice. An eye opener was when I walked into an internet coffee shop in SOHO and more than half of the people with notebook computers were using some type of Mac.
Have a great day!
