I am a graduate of the University of Chicago where I studied philosophy as well as premed while in Chicago. I also have a degree from Northwestern University in Secondary Science as well as a masters in adolescent education from the College of Saint Rose.
While an 18 year undergraduate I began teaching at a neighborhood high school and loved it, and I have been teaching ever since.
I have been teaching for thirteen years now, including students from all over the world where I have taught abroad and at international schools. My experiences teaching include students from kindergarten through higher education and range from subjects of English, Biology, Environmental Science, Math, and Social Studies among others.
I hold multiple teaching certifications, including all sciences biology, chemistry, environmental science, etc. from the State of Illinois and Social Studies from the State of New York. I will also be New York State Certified for English in the coming year.
Currently I am running my own non profit that is creating a sustainable village in a remote part of East Africa and tutoring on the side. In addition to my love for teaching, I have helped create three farming villages, and have spent extensive time outside of America both teaching, farming, and community building. I have also coached both men and women's varsity basketball for five years.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I can happily provide recommendations as well.
