I have grown up with computers. I have become very comfortable with almost every function on Microsoft Windows operating systems. I also have limited network experience including setting up wired and wireless home networks.
I have become very familiar with mechanical engineering design concepts and principles throughout my education and career. I studied Aerospace Engineering with an emphasis on Astronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ.
Aerospace engineering really is just a more specific focus when related to mechanical engineering. I demonstrated this by getting my first job out of college as a mechanical engineer at Cobham Aerospace. There I practiced industry standards in design such as ASME Y14.5 and honed my skills in the application of engineering in a manufacturing environment.
After two years at Cobham Aerospace I got a new job at the Knolls Atomic Power Lab in Niskayuna, NY. I hold this job today and am a practicing mechanical engineer where I contribute to the structural analysis of nuclear reactor components.
I have used Microsoft Outlook for a few years now in a professional setting. I have worked for two employers that use MS Outlook as their exclusive mail client. During this time I have grown very comfortable with the many ins and outs of the software since I use the program every day.
I take pride in knowing as much detail about any software I use. I am familiar with the basics such as: creating and sending emails, creating calendar appointments, and creating tasks and I am comfortable with more complicated functions including: email rules and alerts, and merging contact lists.
I have been operating PCs with Microsoft Windows my entire life. I have used every major release of MS Windows form the early days of Windows 3.1 through Windows 95, XP, Vista, and now 7.
I have become very comfortable with the operating system and have often taken the time to help coworkers, friends, and family to get the most out of their computing experience.
