Hello and thank you for looking at my page. It's ever so gracious of you to spend your time with me. I hope our meeting extends beyond the computer screen; but on to what you came looking for.

I am an independent tutor in Reno who works his hardest to create the best atmosphere for students to study in so they learn and retain the most but also feel confident and at ease. I help everyone to feel like themselves around me so that they can give me honest feedback which helps me to help them. Speaking from my own personal experiences, nobody is incapable of learning or improving. To quote Jackie Chan, "No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher." I also try to be as flexible as possible as a tutor. This includes meeting location, length of tutoring sessions, and PRICE!

I have over three years of professional experience teaching in both the classroom and the private setting. I have privately tutored students in scholastic subjects which include anatomy, American history, literature, English, elementary education, and more. I have also privately taught students to play the violin and piano. Being a person who also enjoys exercising the body in addition to the mind, I have coached students in the martial arts, snow skiing, swimming, ballroom dancing, and track and field. Growing up I had two deaf friends from whom I learned sign language. In college I minored in American Sign Language and would relish the opportunity to work with anyone who is Deaf or hard of hearing.

So if you're still reading this, congratulations on making it through my small novel. I hope this means you are interested in my tutoring skills and will be contacting me. So until then, adieu.

Bible Studies

I graduated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Seminary Program in 2006, which is a four year study course of biblical and scriptural studies. I served a two year mission from 2007-2009 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which meant scripture study every day for two hours and then a 10 hour day of teaching and preaching. I still read the Bible every day and have a great love for it.

Hard Of Hearing

I grew up with two friends who are Hard of Hearing and I signed with them throughout our childhood. In college I took three years of sign language and made it my minor. I have been involved with the deaf community for 4 years and have acted as a translator on multiple occasions. The best way for me to teach people sign language is simply to sit down and chat with them in sign.

Martial Arts

I have been active as a martial artist for 8 years, most particularly in Shaolin Kempo. I am a second degree black belt and ran a martial arts studio for 3 years. I still practice my kung fu to this day.
