I am a senior at Columbia University in the City of New York, where I am majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. However, I am currently back home in Las Vegas for winter break and I am looking to make good use of my time until I head back to school in mid-January. While I am only available for a short time (3.5 weeks), I have a very open schedule and would be happy to help students prepare for end of semester exams.

I have always thoroughly enjoyed school, and my goal when tutoring is to make the experience of learning a new topic as enjoyable as possible for the student. I always make a point to get to know students personally, so I can use their strengths to help them find success.

While I am currently majoring in an engineering discipline, I can assure you that I am prepared to tutor in a wide variety of subjects. I graduated from Clark High School here in Las Vegas as valedictorian with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and now at Columbia I am required to complete a very rigorous, rounded core curriculum. I have prior hired experience as a math tutor for high school students. Back in New York, I am part of a tutoring organization through which I tutor elementary and middle school students in all subjects.

In high school, as a student in the Academy of Math Science and Applied Technology (AMSAT) at Clark High School, I took the equivalent of two years of honors chemistry and one year of AP chemistry. Very patient and flexible — She's the only person who's been able to help my daughter with algebra. My daughter absolutely loves being tutored by Robyn, and she's much more confident in her math class. Robyn is also very flexible. When I had our times mixed up, Robin was there in 15 minutes to help her. ...
