Hello! My name is Katie, and I have been working as a tutor for the past six years. I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in French and Francophone Studies, and I am currently working on my Master's in Education with an emphasis in teaching English as a second language at UNLV. I have had formal training in teaching and lesson planning and have tutored several elementary students in all subjects, including French. In addition, I have tutored high school and college students in French and English, including composition, reading comprehension, grammar and sentence structure. I worked at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California tutoring first year composition students, and I also taught English at a French elementary school in Paris while I was studying abroad. I have worked for Applied Scholastics as a supplemental education specialist (SES), where I was responsible for assessing students, creating educational goals for them, and helping them achieve those goals.
