I have found that it is usually a weak understanding of the basics of a subject that causes a student to struggle. My method of tutoring is to try to incorporate foundation strengthening techniques with homework help. I want to make sure that your child has a strong understanding of the foundation, while still keeping up with their current coursework.
I have experience working with students ages 5 - 23 in a wide array of subjects. One of my recent success stories is a young girl I began tutoring several months ago. When we met, she was failing her PreAlgebra course. She now has an A in Honors Algebra. It takes a lot of hard work to see a payoff like this but it is definitely possible for any student!
