Hi everyone!
My name is Paola and I am looking forward to helping children in elementary, middle, and some high school with their struggles in subjects such as Spanish, math, biology, and nutrition.
I am currently attending Montclair State University with the intent of graduating in May 2014 with a B.A. in Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics. I have volunteered as a tutor for children ages 5 to 12 through after school programs and public schools. I have been a teacher's helper in math and science for middle school students.
In terms of approach, I like to treat each student as an individual and work with them in the way that is most effective for their individual needs. I am very patient and understanding of multiple difficulties, including special needs, and believe that slow and steady is generally the way to go with students who are struggling.
