Jennifer D. is a great tutor, patient, thorough, and keen on making sure her students are comfortable toward receiving accurate learning techniques.
It was evident that Jennifer shows complete passion toward teaching her students. I am a Masters student being tutored for the PRAXIS 1 test; therefore, the session entailed that I go back to the basics of learning. From the beginning and to the end of the session, Jennifer made me feel comfortable regarding brushing up on my elementary education. What was most rewarding about my session with Jennifer was Jennifer’s ability to recognize my strengths and weaknesses and incorporate strategies toward taking the timed PRAXIS test. Through Jennifer’s taught techniques, I began to feel confident again regarding passing the PRAXIS 1 test. Jennifer spoke to me in terms that were understandable and easy for me to apply toward the test taking techniques as we encountered each section together and independently. Jennifer and I started with what to expect on the computer version of the PRAXIS 1 test and understanding the score percentages of each section of the test. Next, we started with the writing area of the test, understanding the proper usage of commas, basic grammar, nouns, verbs, and usage test 1.
Jennifer is clear, and thorough but approachable.

I cannot thank Jennifer enough for helping me navigate through my first session with PowerPoint. Jennifer is truly superb, patient, knowledgeable and always made sure that I was clear on every topic covered. Jennifer arrived organized and provided me with pre-typed instructions on what we would be covering. She also took helpful notes for me while I was on the computer learning each task. Jennifer is very organized and well prepared prior to each lesson to explain difficult Scientific concepts through her arsenal of narratives, question and answer dialogues, and helpful worksheets. Jennifer was easy to reach and set up a first meeting very quickly. She helped my daughter become more comfortable with her Honors Spanish curriculum and my daughter felt much better about going to her Spanish class after she left. Because my daughter's Spanish teacher only speaks in Spanish in the classroom, and requires the students to do the same, it is difficult for her to ask a question if she doesn't understand something. Jennifer was able to give clear instruction (in English) so that my daughter could understand how to utilize the Spanish language better. I will be using Jennifer again!
