Biology

Biology is about the life of all the organisms living on this planet. As an educator and scientist, I can help students develop confidence about science not only with information but also with application of the concepts to labs. Chemistry

Chemistry can be a very frustrating subject because this is the first time, students are applying their math and critical thinking skills to a science that uses math logic to find many of the answers to chemical questions. I have strategies that will provide support for students to achieve success.

Reading

Reading today is at the center of many of our educational problems. I have the strategies to help students learn how to read, interpret, analyze, and conclude the reading material. Reading is crucial in critical thinking and problem solving in other disciplines. You cannot perform well in math, chemistry, physics, and biology without learning how to read. Most students who are performing poorly do so because of their reading skills. I can help.

Writing is the method that we all use to communicate our ideas to others. Writing is an approach to becoming memorialized for our thoughts which is an integral part of who we are.

Biochemistry

Biochemistry is more than memorizing ; students need strategies to understand as well as knowing factual information.
Biochemistry is organic and inorganic chemistry in action.
students need to be able to understand how disease is linked to the biochemistry of the entire body, the organ systems, organs, and the interaction among these systems.

Anatomy

I can help with strategies to help understand anatomy and how it relates to physiology and pathophysiology. I have developed tips for success in this subject. I have helped nursing, PT students, and pre-med students learn how to memorize and organize the information. I have case histories that will help student get a better understanding about the relationship anatomy to the human body's physiology.

Physiology

The physiology is important because to understand structure you need to understand its function. To study this comprehensive course students need help to relate function to its structure. In doing this the student then can easily understand not only normal functioning but also the pathology of the body

MCAT

I have taught the necessary subjects for MCAT preparation for over 25 years. I am skilled in the required disciplines biology, chemistry organic and organic, and physics. I am teaching graduate students in these topics.
