My name is Jeanne. I am a New Jersey certified French teacher currently working in an elementary school in South Jersey not far from Philadelphia. Over the years, I have tutored students of all ages. My work focuses on communication skills rather than grammar drills and my style is lively and animated. I lived in France for five years as a young adult and am married to a Frenchman. We have traveled to France more than a dozen times since moving back to the states almost 25 years ago and have family and friends there. As a result, our strong cultural ties have been maintained. In my spare time, I sing in a rock band and enjoy family, sports, fitness, gardening, food and art.
ESL/ESOL students: I have done some coursework in ESL and have taught English to foreign students over the years. Being both a foreign language teacher and learner helps me relate to English language learners. I will focus on comprehension, communication and cultural understanding through speaking, reading and writing.
