I am a tutor with a wide range of knowledge. I have my MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I, also, my BA in Psychology and Philosophy with a minor in History.

I have my NJ CE in the subjects of Psychology and Social Studies. I have many years of one-on-one tutoring experience starting in college where I was selected to be a paid tutor for the school's CORE classes. I also have tutored privately since graduating.

I feel confident working with a wide range of middle school and high school subjects including social studies, English, and various math classes too.

I have many years of working in schools with various grade levels. I have aided kids of with various special education needs so I feel comfortable working with students with special needs.

ADD/ADHD

I have my MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I also have a BA in Psychology and Philosophy with a minor in History. I have many years of experience helping ADD/ADHD students improve their schoolwork. I have tutored privately and working in school at various grade levels with children with ADD/ADHD. I understand the need to be patient and redirect as needed to help them maintain focus on the task at hand. I have helped create and utilize behavior plans that may help a student stay on task.

Special Needs

I have my MA in Clinical Psychology.I have many years of experience working with a wide variety of Special Needs children. I have worked as a general class aide as well as a one-on-aide to Special Needs populations ranging from ADHD to autism. I have provided in-home therapy and I have also taught and tutored groups of them over the years. I understand that each child is different and requires a somewhat unique method to help keep him/her on task and focused. I also understand the need to develop a good rapport with students so they are comfortable with and trust you.

Study Skills

I have my MA in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I also have a BA in Psychology and Philosophy with a minor in History. I have many years of experience helping students improving their study skills. I have tutored privately and working in school at various grade levels. More specifically, I assist them in note-taking strategies to better streamline and help them get more out of them. I also help with test preparation using a variety of methods including as flash cards and mnemonic devices as well as traditional studying methods to improve recall of test material. I will cater my approach to both note taking and test preparations to the individual student's needs and strengths.
