I went to Rutgers University in Camden where I received a BA in history and completed the courses required to be a teacher. I currently hold a CEAS in K-5 elementary and K-12 Social Studies. I currently work at a charter school in Camden where I teach Kindergartners. I recently applied to have a CE in teacher of students with disabilities, which I will complete at Rowan University. During my time at Rutgers I completed my field work in Glassboro and in Deptford. Since graduation I have worked as a substitute in various school districts throughout southern New Jersey. I have also tutored students in Social Studies, English, and Science.
I have earned high marks for the quality of classroom teaching, lesson plans and instructional materials used in teaching diverse subjects. Developed innovative approaches that were held as the model standard for meeting district goals in areas including technology integration across the curriculum, experiential learning, literacy and diversity.
I have also taught general education students and individuals with learning challenges within a mainstreamed, inclusive classroom. During my time as a substitute teacher, I quickly became a “first-to-call” resource in current substitute teaching role, typically working four days per week. Personally requested by many full-time teachers to take over their classrooms during absences.
I would really like to have the chance to tutor your son/daughter. I am friendly and very caring. I have an extreme passion for teaching. I always knew that I wanted to teach ever since I taught dance at 12 years old.
