My name is Brian F. and I am a graduate of The College of New Jersey where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have a broad knowledge of various subjects, such as general biology, eukaryotic cell biology, ecology, genetics, biochemistry, biostatistics, invertebrate biology, and immunology. In addition, I have knowledge in general in organic chemistry. I have completed a college mathematics curriculum up through the calculus with modest success.

I am currently attending UMDNJ-SOM, pursuing my D.O. degree. I am currently enrolled in physiology, anatomy, histology, genetics, and microbiology classes. This past summer, I was hired as an associate editor of a genetics textbook. My contributions to the grammatical organization of this book are indicative of my strong understanding of the English language. Thus, in the past, I have edited papers and tutored students in writing. Additionally, I have tutored students informally in biology, prealgebra, algebra, and precalculus. After working with all of these students, I have seen them excel and gain a better understanding of the material and concepts.

Track & Field

I have ran track and field as a distance runner since high school. I competed in distance events as a member of the varsity cross country and track and field team at The College of New Jersey. I would be glad to assist in training aspiring track and field athletes especially those interested in distance running.

MCAT

I am currently a second year medical student at UMDNJ-SOM, soon to be Rowan-SOM. I studied for and took the MCAT last year and scored an 11 in the Biological Sciences section, 11 in the Physical Sciences section, and a 7 in the Verbal Reasoning Section. My writing score was an R. I believe I would be highly qualified to tutor and provide advice for the medical school application process.

Genetics

I have taken Genetics at The College of New Jersey as part of the Biology major curriculum. In addition, I am currently enrolled in a medical genetics course at UMDNJ-SOM. This past summer, I was employed as an associate editor of a genetics textbook, Essentials of Genetics by Klug et al.

Organic Chemistry

I have taken both Organic Chemistry I and II at The College of New Jersey. I received an A in both of these classes and enjoy learning and teaching the concepts involved in this subject.
