I have a masters degree in reading education from Rowan University. Part of the course work requires us to learn to administer, interpret, and plan for remediation of all reading problems. Having a classification such as ADD/ADHD just requires more diversification in planning. We need to have shorter activities with lots of hands-on activities to keep the learned actively engaged. During the clinical course work we worked with a variety of students with ADD and ADHD and yes we dealt with it by making the appropriate modifications in our lesson plans.

Algebra 2

I have worked successfully with students needing help with Algebra I and Algebra II, and Geometry.

I have helped others study for this test. I am quite familiar with all of the different areas that this tests covers.

I am an experienced teacher with a master's degree in reading. As a basic skills teacher for over 38 years, I have had professional development courses in helping students with the math HSPT.

I have a Masters Degree in Reading Education and experience helping students compensate for dyslexia through a wide variety of strategies was covered in great detail.

I am very familiar with the GED test and have had excellent results helping students in the past.

Hard Of Hearing

I have a NJ Speech Correctionist certificate after minoring in speech correction at Rowan University. A very large part of this certificate required college level courses in audiology and phonemic awareness. Learning how to administer and read a hearing test, what frequencies in particular made speech difficult to understand, where all skills that were mastered under clinical supervision. As part of a clinical practice, we had to learn how to teach someone how to say phonemes when a hearing loss was present.

I have a master's degree in reading education from Rowan University. Several reading courses within this MA program focus on beginning reading skills, phonemes, and phonics. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

I have a Masters degree in education and I have both a NJ Principal and NJ Supervisor certificates. I had to take many courses in curriculum and development and models of teaching and supervision. I am also a retired teacher with 38 years of experience. In addition I have helped others prepare for the Praxis. I think I am highly qualified to do test preparation for the Praxis.

Having received a masters degree in Reading Education from Rowan University, I then became a NJ Certified Reading Specialist. I have had clinical supervision in the testing, and remediation of students at all levels. My greatest strength is my ability to diagnosis and successfully treat reading disabilities both in young children and adults. I have been trained to administer a battery of standardized tests including but not limited to IQ testing, modality testing, word recognition and comprehension testing, which aid me in my diagnosis. I consider it both a challenge and a privilege to work with my students.

Social Studies

I have a K-8 teaching certificate which includes teaching social studies up to eighth grade and I also have an MA in reading education which certifies me to teach reading skills in any content area through adulthood. If the student is in high school or college I can teach higher order comprehension skills which include reading maps, graphs, outlining, skimming and scanning.

If you are talking about speech development or speech correcting, I graduated with a minor in speech correction and I am a certified NJ Speech Correctionist from Rowan University.
