I substitute taught grades k-5 for 3 years, taught 5th grade for 1 year and 1st grade for 5 years. I have tutored children of all grades, in all subjects. I have test prep training from my school district, as well as skill training in language arts, math and science. I like to teach the same skill in many different ways so the student can best grasp the subject matter. I am well aware of the increased expectations on today's students and feel this is only because of what we know now about how much children can learn. Every student can excel, but each students learning style needs to first be discovered. Once your child is equipped with the tools necessary for learning, they will develop a love for it and go far in their education.
