Hello!
My name is Adrienne, and I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher and tutor!
I am a recent graduate of Montclair State University with a BA in English and a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in K-5 education. As a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi International Education Honor Society, I am a firm believer in the importance of education.
I have experience teaching on the elementary level in Newark, NJ, in a whole group, a small group, and individual instruction in math, science, reading, and writing. I have experience tutoring college-level students with learning disabilities in math, English, and computer skills. I also have experience teaching and tutoring English language skills to non-native English speakers ranging in ages from 10-25.
I am very dedicated to the teaching profession. In the words of John Lubbock, "The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn." Learning is a lifelong adventure and it is my goal to help every student learn to the best of their abilities and according to their personal learning style.
I look forward to hearing from you!
