I have a great interest in interdisciplinary learning with a broad experience in science, arts, communication, anthropology and travel. My BA is in Fine Arts and a minor in Anthropology from Los Andes University, a well regarded university in Colombia. I speak Spanish, understand Italian and Portuguese. Also studied French for few years. I participated in a summer study program in Florence (Italy), completed a post bachelor in Anthropology at California State University Bakersfield and my MFA in Film, Video and New Media is from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. During my studies at SAIC I was awarded with the International Fellowship Prize, Graduate Student Grant, received a special award for leadership and other grants for my artwork. I am always interested in teaching and learning through projects and have worked for different organizations that promote this philosophy. In Chicago I worked in several projects like Street Level Youth Media, Association House, Gallery 37 and created art and videos with students based on their individual perspectives, interests and motivations. Many of the projects had social impact and were displayed in galleries, museums and community spaces. I worked in film and environmental education in New York and in California. Most recently I have been doing research projects at Princeton.
