I have earned an undergraduate degree and three graduate degrees. In addition I have taught at the elementary, secondary, and college level. I am also a Certified Public Manager (CPM). I studied at the U.S. Army Engineering School at Ft. Belvoir, Va. I have worked with special needs students at a State institution. I have over 30 years experience in public administration as a manager.
I enjoyed the years that I was a teacher and college adjunct professor. My wife is a retired elementary school principal: her experiences with younger children have been very helpful to me. My method of teaching/tutoring is centered around the needs of the student. It is important to me for the student to do well in his or her area which requires additional assistance. I am a firm believer in passing on my knowledge of a an area/subject to the student. I often do this with my grand children.
I look at life as an education for each of us. I feel that, in reality, we all are both teacher and students in our everyday lives; we may just not realize that we are. Finally, I love the concept of sharing my many years of knowledge in history, geography, current events, etc. There is just a great deal of satisfaction on my part in seeing a student reach his or her highest potential.
