I am certified to teach grades K-8, and High School Math, in NJ and PA. I have successfully taught 2nd and 5th grades, 7th grade math, and high school math, with 8 years public school experience. I tutored math and language arts at a nationally recognized tutoring center for 4 years. Since September 2011, I've done math tutoring with Wyzant, for students from 4th grade to 12th grade, as well as SAT Math, ACT Math, and ASVAB Math prep. I have amassed over 450 successful tutoring hours. I very much enjoy working one-on-one with students, or with small groups, tailoring the experience to exactly what they need. I provide student-centered academic support.

Algebra 1

I have a great deal of experience helping students bridge between elementary math and algebra prep into algebra proper, whether the student is in middle or high school. I make sure my students have the prerequisite skills needed, to study and be successful at algebra.

Prealgebra

Many students need support to bridge between elementary math into algebra prep and then on to algebra proper. Prealgebra is usually taken in middle school and many of my students are of this level, so I bring a lot experience in helping them. I make sure my students have the prerequisite skills needed, to study and be successful at algebra.

SAT Math

Many students need support to bridge between typical high school math and into the challenging realm of the SAT Math test. I bring a lot of experience helping students learn strategies and become knowledgeable about key topics that get tested on the SAT. I make sure my students have the prerequisite skills needed, to take on the challenge of succeeding on this important test.

Elementary Math

Many students need support to fully understand and be able to apply the key skills that are learned in elementary math.
Sometimes it is just more practice that is needed, but in any case it is very important that students know math facts, operations, decimals, fractions, ratios, percents, and proportions extremely well. How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
