Hello! I graduated from Muhlenberg College in May 2011 with a double major in math and chemistry, and I have been tutoring with WyzAnt since November 2011.
I have loved math since I was little, but there were numerous times where I would get upset or frustrated when a math concept did not make sense. I was also notorious for making careless mistakes in high school and middle school. The only remedy I could find to these ailments was by repeatedly asking myself how I knew my answer was correct. With this clear purpose in mind, I found myself understanding more concepts in less time as I did my homework each night. I continued studying and preparing with this clear purpose in mind, and I found myself doing better on tests. After challenging myself to come up with procedures and methods for doing any and all problems, I now attach significant importance to the ability to check an answer. I hope to share as many good habits, tips, and strategies as possible with students so they can have the confidence to enable them too to succeed on tests, homework, quizzes, and organization.
I would occasionally get in front of the class in high school and teach concepts, and my love of learning continued throughout college, especially when I was exposed to organic chemistry. I hosted workshops, and I still love and enjoy organic chemistry immensely. I am now concentrated on being the best tutor and teacher possible. It is crucial that I be efficient and effective, and I truly enjoy being responsible and making adequate preparations before each session.
WyzAnt has connected me with countless families, and I am grateful for the opportunities presented to me. I have enjoyed teaching, challenging students, sharing test-taking strategies, and seeing my students succeed.
Good luck with your learning, and I hope to hear from you soon!
