American History
I have a master's degree in American History from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. My focus was in early American history from the colonial period, through to the onset of the Civil War (of course I have graduate-level expertise in all aspects and eras of American history).
I can effectively tutor you in all areas of U.S. history, including AP U.S. history. Please contact me with more specific questions you may have about how I can help you in this subject.
Bar Exam
I graduated from law school in 1998 and passed the bar exam in February 1999. Over 10 years of practice as a civil attorney in trial, appellate and federal courts have further enhanced my knowledge of black letter law.
I have tutored law students extensively for the past 3 years, including students sitting for the Multi-state Bar Exam.
European History

GMAT
My GMAT tutoring is specifically designed to meet the stated objectives of the test. The GMAT wants us to combine information with logic and reasoning to find solutions to problems. So, I try to show you how to do just this.
My instruction is therefore divided into three separate parts: The information, the logic and reasoning, and (perhaps most important of all) how to combine the information with the logic and reasoning.
The information is the academic skills (math, verbal and writing) the GMAT expects us to know. Even though most students look at learning these skills as the main focus of their preparation, the reality is that this is only the starting point.
The second part of my instruction focuses on the logical skills. Together, we will define these logical skills as a set of teachable general principles. These principles are practical and simple to understand.
The third and final part of the instruction shows students how these principles can be easily applied to a wide range of academic concepts to solve problems.
I have found that when you combine these three lessons, you can effectively understand exactly what each question is asking for and exactly how to approach the answer process.
