Having completed my Masters of Arts in Education with an Early Childhood Education Specialization, I am currently working on my New Jersey Teacher's Certification in Elementary Education. My 19 month old son is the light of my life, and has always been very active and friendly. I tutored a 12 year old girl primarily in math, science, and French, while also babysitting her.
I also co-taught a French class for fifth graders, and assisted for a religion class. In high school, as part of my national honors society requirements, I also was a peer teacher in the resource room. I tutored students in all subjects including Algebra, History, French, and science.
I believe in tutoring the whole student, find out what works for them and design a lesson to those needs. I am fond of positive reinforcement and one of my favorite tools would be a goals chart. The actual chart itself is dependent on what a student needs and likes, such as favorite color, musical notes, or favorite things.
