My tutoring methods vary according to each student's needs: Clearly, if a student is preparing schoolwork, the methods I use are different from those used when a student or group of students is trying to acquire a second language for travel or conversational purposes. I taught ESL in Milan for Oxford Institutes Italiani in 1983 and as an in-house instructor at Italtel telecommunications company in 1991. I was certified in 1991 by the British School in Milano to teach ESL. I also have done private ESL tutoring in Paris while studying French at La Sorbonne in 1982.

I lived for two years in Italy, working as a journalist and translator for a US news magazine, and supplementing my income as an ESL teacher. For beginners, I use a modified full-immersion method, building a grammar base first, following an Italian-, rather than American-, designed course. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
