I have taught English for 18 years and Social Studies for 3 years. I have worked in the business world as a legal secretary, using many of my teaching skills. I am a patient, caring, capable person, coming from a family background of teachers. I want to see students succeed, be proud of their work, and realize that learning is fun and fulfilling. I am semi-retired, write essays and poetry, and love the power of language. I have been an administrator, department chair and assistant principal, so I know other aspects of education. I have done my work mainly in private college preparatory schools and feel this background has been very advantageous. I feel confident that I can help students achieve their goals.
