My name is Kelechi (Keli) and I live in the Somerset area of New Jersey. I have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science at an accredited university in Nigeria and a graduate degree in finance with specialization in financial management.
My years of education have exposed me to science and math courses that have made me so good with numbers and above all mathematics. I am currently applying for a certificate of eligibility for middle school math and for elementary education. I passed my my Praxis exams for middle school math in 2007 and elementary education in 2008.
I have been a volunteer in Nigeria in my college years to tutor high school kids in math, physics, and chemistry, but currently I would like to concentrate on teaching or tutoring elementary, middle school math, pre-algebra, and algebra. I graduated from my master's program in 2010 with a GPA of 3.65 from New Jersey State University, N.J. Though I worked full time, which made it a very challenging task, I was able to come out with very good grades. Some of the courses I took in my graduate program that kept my math skills sharpened included quantitative business method, which involved probability problems, statistics, standard deviation, word problem, etc. I also took accounting courses while in college.
I tutored my niece all through eight grade, which gives me a very good insight of what math is all about. Currently I work with developmentally challenged individuals in Bridgewater, New Jersey and will be willing to give excellent tutoring to those who need my services.
