Hi, my name is Krystle, and I just completed my Master's degree in Psychological Studies in Education at UCLA. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA, and my undergraduate GPA was a 3.7 when I attended Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated high school in the top 10% of my class. I have also been accepted as a Teach for America Corps Member.
During undergrad, I studied Elementary and Special education and have received Level 1 teaching certification in both. Right now, I am studying to be certified in secondary English and Middle School Math. I have experience working with at-risk youth in the legal system, children with mild to moderate autism and other mental and physical disabilities, children with behavioral disorders, as well as typically developing children.
When completing my Praxis exams for my teaching certifications, and to complete my degree, I passed every test on the first try. I also achieved a combined score of 1100 on the GRE my first try, with a 4.5 on the writing section.
I have experience tutoring my classmates on the Praxis exams and even in high school physics and pre-calculus, as well as elementary, middle, and high school students in and out of the classroom setting. I have also helped my father pass his licensing exam the first time (after many unaided failures) for the sterile processing department he works for in the hospital, although I have no previous experience in this area.
Overall, I am very warm, patient, hard-working, and I love to laugh. I am a results-driven individual and do not like for myself, or my students to fail.
