I really love teaching. I am a full-time middle school/junior high middle school teacher. I taught years of piano lessons at a local music store beginning at the end of high school. As much as I loved music I had an even stronger passion and that was languages, especially German. I made lots of German friends in NJ and went on to study it at Rutgers University. I graduated with honors. Then I went on to study for my Masters in Education at Rutgers. After that I taught English in Austria for two years as an English teaching assistant. I stayed in Austria two years longer, studying, teaching English to all age levels from kindergarten to adult, and helping start a company. Last year I decided to come back and pursue a career as a German teacher in the US.
I am a very patient person and I am a good communicator. I am good at getting people motivated! I try to spice up the lessons as much as possible with music, interesting stories, articles, cool cultural topics, while help students learn to find their German voice. I don't teach using a grammar based approach, but rather a social based approach. However, I am adept at German grammar and can answer questions and help people who are looking for that.
