I have a strong interest in helping students with their academic careers; with experience working at both the elementary and high school levels, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. I have graduated from Rider University, NJ, with a B.A. in English literature and writing. I obtained an B.A in education.
My teaching experiences have taken me from elementary to high school students. I have worked for years with children from K-12th grade. I have developed and run programs for recreational town camps as well as the Princeton YMCA. My teaching experiences also led me to work for a tutoring program called, CLUB Z in home tutoring, which I traveled to my students' homes and provided home instruction.
I was recently Director of Education for Huntington Learning Center, one of the oldest of supplemental instruction companies. As a Director of Education, it was my responsibility to analyze a student's evaluation test and plan a program that meets that student's needs, which will increase the skills that they need to achieve in the classroom. I also helped tutor some of our students who had learning disabilities or who were involved in our SAT program.
I am currently working towards my masters degree as a Reading Specialist at Montclair State University. My diverse background allows me to help all students regardless of age or skill level to reach their full ability. I am an educator who would find a creative way to reach each of my students and have them succeed.
Cancellation Policy:
I understand that things come up. However, I have many students that I am working with and need 24 hour advanced notice for a canceled lesson; otherwise, you will be charged my rate. Cancellations must be done via text, and or phone. DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL to cancel a lesson, because I may be working with students and do not have access to the internet. Text is the number one choice, voicemail is second.
