Hello, my name is Patrick. I graduated with a BA in History from The College of New Jersey in 2003, and I have a great love for the subject. History combines politics, religion, social understanding, geography, literature, art, and just about everything else. Unfortunately schools have been putting social studies on the back burner of late so that students focus on math and science, but history is just as vital as any other subject. It teaches us about our role in government, in society, and in the entire history of humanity itself.
Similarly, I've been involved in theater for the past 12 years. It has greatly increased my communication skills, and my comprehension of human interaction. Theater teaches us empathy, public speaking, diction, teamwork and gives performers great confidence. Of course, theater is not all about standing on stage. There is a lot of preparation, technical learning, and interpretation that goes into every aspect of theater. I've been involved as a back stage technician, producer, director, and performer, so I'm very capable of educating individuals about most areas of theatrical learning.
I would love the opportunity to help tutor your son or daughter in either of these subjects. I work a 8-4:30 job in Liberty Corner, NJ, and would be willing to leave right from work in order to tutor, if necessary. Additionally, I'm free on most weekends, so I am willing to make tutoring an important part of my life. I hope I fit your needs, and I look forward to hearing from you.
