I enjoy two subjects that are different. Mathematics and History. I teach both: primarily Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Accounting and several topics in History such as World History, American History, Government and Politics. I joke that I teach four math classes in order to be able to teach History. My background is unique in that my undergraduate degree is in History, while my graduate degree in is Business (that is where all of the Math comes from).

I am a tough but caring teacher -- I have great success in Mathematics by encouraging my students, and also using a variety of teaching methods including visual, kinesthetic and auditory. I enjoy my students and I love to see their success!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is one of my favorite subjects. Getting students off to a spectacular start in upper Mathematics is exciting!

American History is a true passion of mine. It is both vocation and avocation. From the Revolution to the Civil War, to WWII to the current day, if your scholar needs help in History, please contact me.

Bible Studies

I teach at an ACSI affiliated Christian School. As part of my daily responisbilities I am required to have a knowledge of Bible studies. Additionally, I select and implement our High School Bible curriculum.

Public Speaking

I currently teach Speech to 9th graders at New Covenant Christian Academy. My main focus in Speech is correct elocution, stance, and clarity. Although these words seem stiff, the class is not. Speech is a great opportunity for young people to learn to express themselves clearly and among all types of people.

Marketing

I have an MBA in Marketing from New York University. I have also worked in Marketing, including Director of Marketing at Arm and Hammer Baking Soda, a household named brand. I would be happy to take whatever test you require.

Social Studies

I am already certified with you in European History, and Government and Politics. I have an undergraduate degree in History from Dartmouth, and have a NJ state teaching certificate in K-12 Social Studies. I would be happy to take any test you require.
