I am a lecturer in Philosophy at Rutgers University New Brunswick. I have a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from UCLA and a Master's in Philosophy from UT Austin.

More importantly, I have five years of teaching experience (I have tutored ESL, English Composition, Philosophical Writing, Psychology, History, Piano). I am very passionate about teaching and my students have always given me great reviews. Moreover, English is my second language so I am intimately familiar with the struggles of learning how to write and how to overcome them. My background in psychology allows me to attune my teaching style to individual needs and identify points of confusion early on. My strong background in philosophy allows me to communicate clearly, and actually understand the type of mental hang-up that might be retarding the student's progress. I am also a professional artist, so I always find ways of illustrating solutions in a fun and effective manner.

Drawing

I have been practicing drawing from a very young age. On top of numerous school and college classes, I have produced and sold multiple artworks of my own. Many of my artworks have been on display around Austin, TX and are going to be featured at the Gallery and the Black Lagoon in Austin this summer. I also have a portfolio I can forward upon request. Letters of recommendation from UT Austin Art faculty members could also be provided upon request.

Piano

I have studied classical piano for 7 years from a Professor at the Moscow Conservatory and 6 years at a music school for gifted children that was an adjunct to the Moscow Conservatory. I have given concerts playing Bach, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Schubert and so on.

Russian

I am native Russian speaker. I was born in Moscow and attended local schools for seven years. I can read, write, and speak Russian with ease. I have taught many students at various stages.
