ADD/ADHD
I have a NJ certification for Teacher of the Handicapped for grades K-12. As a fourth and fifth grade special education teacher for five years in Franklin Township, NJ, I have worked with many students with ADD/ADHD.
Aspergers
I have a NJ certification for Teacher of the Handicapped for grades K-12. As a fourth and fifth grade special education teacher for five years in Franklin Township, NJ, I have worked with many students with special needs. Prior to that I worked for five years at the Eden Institute for individuals with Aspergers, Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disabilities. I also have a younger brother with Aspergers.
Autism
I have a NJ certification for Teacher of the Handicapped for grades K-12. As a fourth and fifth grade special education teacher for five years in Franklin Township, NJ, I have worked with many students with special needs. Prior to that I worked for five years at the Eden Institute for individuals with Autism and other Pervasive Developmental Disabilities. I was also a private tutor for a boy with autism for two years.
Drums
I have been a drummer and musician for 14 years, playing many styles of music including jazz, rock, reggae, ska, blues, rap, funk, punk, zydeco, and others. I have performed in five different states (New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and South Carolina). I currently perform with the Somerset Jazz Consortium. I have also had many drum students over the past eight years. I have studied with world renowned instructors such as Joe Morello and Tony DeNicola.
Dyslexia
I have a NJ certification for Teacher of the Handicapped for grades K-12. As a fourth and fifth grade special education teacher for five years in Franklin Township, NJ, I have worked with many students with dyslexia.
Elementary (K-6th)
I am have a NJ certification for Elementary Teacher for grades K-8. I have taught fifth grade for four years and fourth grade for one year in Franklin Township Public Schools.
Phonics
As a special education teacher for five years, I have worked with many students to improve their reading skills and strategies. I have used phonics instruction to work with students who are emerging readers to improve their literacy proficiency.
Special Needs

As an elementary teacher for five years I have used many test prep and study skills programs with my students including Learnia, Study Insland, and MyTestBook. I have also taken professional development workshops in test prep and study skills from Columbia Teachers College.
