I attended Rutgers University. I earned a bachelor degree, B.F.A. in Theater Arts and took a handful of liberal arts courses in ethics, philosophy
, British Culture, and Expository Writing
I have trained and worked extensively in acting worldwide, which has given me the great opportunity to learn lots about theater, about culture and life as well. I studied acting at Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London, England for a year. I also was a theater practitioner, teaching acting in various London schools through the Globe Education program and instructing acting through classical texts.
I have had extensive English
and writing courses from the English Writing Program at Rutgers University. This has allowed my reading and comprehension to exceed far higher than I would have ever expected. It stems from studying Shakespeare and Moliere in London, England to performing classical genres to students in Dakar, Senegal along with performing at world-renowned venues like Carnegie Hall. This has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of writing, social customs, and in the liberal and performing arts. I have had many opportunities teaching acting, English, and speech
and reading on all levels.
I enjoy teaching and working with all ages from children to adults. I know each person has had a special teacher that they remember and it was something about their delivery that intrigued them or kept them interested. I am that teacher. I like hands on experience. I am an active teacher who is on his feet. It keeps everybody on his or her toes. I am ready, willing, and able to help people find academic success. I am a kind, motivated, and an understanding person. My goal is to educate. I am determined to provide a safe and conducive learning environment while building self confidence.
