I am a veteran teacher and tutor with over 31 years of teaching experience. I have worked in both private and public schools with students in grades Pre-k to Grade 3. I have a masters degree in Special education and have worked with regular and special needs students in a mainstreamed classroom. In addition, I have experience utilizing IEPs to modify instruction for special needs students. Some of the special needs students I have worked with were classified as ADD,ADHD, Communication Impaired, as well as, having a Specific Learning Disability. My teaching and learning methods are based on the individual needs of each student. I am a dedicated, creative, hard working individual who has a genuine passion for teaching and learning. Furthermore, I believe all students can learn if given the chance and the proper instruction that matches their learning style. It gives me great joy to see a struggling child succeed. Although I have used both whole and small group instruction, one on one instruction I feel is always the best way to learn.
