The saxophone is a remarkable,unique instrument that is fairly easy to learn, yet incredibly difficult to master. Although, there are a few rules of the saxophone that if properly executed, will ensure that anyone – no matter the level of born talent – can learn to play well.

Holding a degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston, I have been a professional recording/performing musician for over twelve years and have been passionately teaching the saxophone for seven years.

I believe that proper breathing, diaphragm usage, posture and throat manipulation are at the core of creating a great sound. I also believe that ear training, music theory and the ability to read sheet music are all essential in being a rounded saxophonist. I can help you get there with a weekly regimen that will challenge and inspire YOU!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
