My name is Keith and I am an Art Teacher at Timber Creek High School in Erial, NJ. I having experience teaching students 4th through 12th grade. I have a background in Art History, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Photoshop, Ceramics, and Book Arts. I have experience in helping students build Art portfolios for scholarships and for college admission. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The College of New Jersey with a 3.99 GPA. I have a great report with students of all levels and work my best to make the best artist out of each student that I work with. I have a hands on approach in working with students, but I do not interfere with the student's work. I want my students to have a sense of ownership over their work and I do not want my hand to in their artistic process because then their work is no longer just their own.

Adobe Photoshop

I have a working knowledge of Photoshop as an image editing tool, as well as a digital painting tool. I am a certified teacher in art in NJ and I currently teach high school art. I have a background in traditional and digital techniques.

Art Theory

I have a background in Art History, Aesthetics, Art Making, Art Criticism, and Art Education. I am a certified teacher in art in NJ and I currently teach high school art, which includes a significant amount of art theory to go along with the techniques that we apply in our daily lessons.

Drawing

I have experience in figure drawing, observational drawing, and traditional techniques from college and years of practice. I am a certified teacher in art in NJ and I currently teach high school art, which includes drawing. Drawing is a foundational skill in all art. It allows the artist to translate the mind's eye onto a surface. I have experience using a variety of media including: pencil, charcoal, pastels, ink, maker, and other non-traditional mark making tools.

Photography

I have experience with traditional film photography and dark room work in addition to digital photography. I also have experience editing photographs using software like Photoshop. I am a certified teacher in art in NJ and I currently teach high school art.

Painting

I have a working knowledge of painting using a variety of media including ink, watercolors, acrylics, and oils. I also have a working knowledge of representational and non-representational painting. I am a certified teacher in art in NJ and I currently teach high school art, which includes painting among a variety of other techniques.
