Hello,

My name is Esther and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. During my time at Rutgers University, I studied English writing and various forms of literature. I also hold a Master of Science in English Education from the University of Pennsylvania where I crafted my love for English. I am a certified English Instructor from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and am currently working as a high school English teacher. My expertise in English includes reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literature.

My teaching experience has allowed me to understand what my students' strengths and weaknesses are in the subject they are struggling with, and using that to help mold them into academic scholars. As a potential tutor, I would be fully invested in helping students build confidence in achieving their goals and reach their fullest potential as learners. I am a teacher who is patient and dedicated to the growth of students, and as a tutor, I would do all that I can to help students succeed in school and exceed any expectations.

Reading

Students are at a disadvantage if they are behind in their reading skills. As a reading tutor, I will help students craft their reading skills by working closely and patiently with them in order to achieve goals that are appropriate for or exceed their grade level. I am able to help students comprehend meaning from printed material and use inference skills to master reading comprehension.
